Here are the 5 MUST-HAVES to keep your chicks healthy, warm & thriving

Food: Start with chick feed! If your babies weren’t vaccinated, medicated feed helps protect them from coccidiosis.

Water: Hydration is life! Dip one chick’s beak so it can go “tell the crew” where the water is. For newborns, add small rocks or marbles so nobody accidentally takes a swim.

Heat: Keep them cozy! Heat lamps can be risky, so we use a heat plate—aka the plastic “Mama Hen.”

Bedding: We like nesting pads or puppy pads for easy cleanup. Hemp bedding works great too (link in bio).

Safe Space: Keep them away from pets or predators who might get too curious… we’re raising chicks, not chicken nuggets

By incorporating animals into therapeutic activities, the program creates a nurturing environment where every child can learn and grow.
